Simple answer: "physiotherapy for the face!"
Deep answer: Myofunctional therapy is a program of exercises that helps retrain the muscles of the mouth, face, and throat to support healthy breathing, chewing, swallowing, and speaking. It focuses on correcting habits like mouth breathing, improper tongue posture, and tongue thrust. By improving muscle function and coordination, myofunctional therapy can support better overall health, oral development, and clearer speech.
Simple answer: "helping people talk and communicate"
Deep answer: Speech therapy is a specialized service that helps individuals improve their ability to communicate effectively. It focuses on the evaluation and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Speech therapy can also address challenges with understanding language, expressing thoughts, articulation, social communication skills, and even feeding or swallowing difficulties. Therapy is tailored to each person’s needs and can benefit children and adults alike.
The cost is $150 per 50-minute session or assessment for either or both speech and myofunctional therapy. After your appointment, you'll receive a receipt directly to your inbox, which you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.
I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Missed appointments, changes, or cancellations made within 24 hours will be charged the full session fee. Thank you for your understanding and support of a small business!
